From GTS to GTS3: building the future of Grand Truck Simulator
The return of the original Grand Truck Simulator, the evolution of GTS2, and the development of GTS3 are all part of one vision: keep improving truck simulation and create new experiences for our community.
At Pulsar Gamesoft, we are working on different chapters of the Grand Truck Simulator franchise. Each game has its own identity, but the experience and technology we have built over the years connect the series’ past, present, and future.
Grand Truck Simulator: a classic evolving
The first Grand Truck Simulator marked the beginning of our journey and helped us build a community of players around the world. Now that development has resumed, our goal goes beyond simply bringing the original game back.
We are modernizing its technology and integrating a physics system based on developments from GTS2 and GTS3. We want GTS1 to retain its identity while offering driving behavior that feels closer to Pulsar Gamesoft’s more modern titles.
Adapting these systems requires reviewing and rebuilding fundamental parts of the game. The work is intended not only to improve GTS1, but also to prepare it for its next chapter.
A new generation of multiplayer
Another major goal of this modernization is to renew GTS1’s multiplayer experience. The original game had multiplayer features in the past, but we are now working on a new technological foundation for a modern online experience.
Our vision extends beyond GTS1. We want the knowledge, tools, and solutions developed through this work to help lay the groundwork for future multiplayer in Grand Truck Simulator 3.
This is our development direction, not a confirmation of specific features or a promise that both games will use exactly the same system. Development and testing are still ahead, and we have no release dates to announce.
GTS2: experience we continue to build on
Grand Truck Simulator 2 was an important step forward for the franchise. Its deeper mechanical simulation, maintenance and wear systems, and vehicle configuration options expanded our approach to driving and managing trucks.
Those lessons remain valuable. Modernizing GTS1 shows how the work done on one generation can inform another while preserving what makes each game distinct.
GTS3: building the next chapter
Grand Truck Simulator 3 remains in development. It represents our ambition to keep exploring new possibilities in simulation, technology, and gameplay using what we have learned from GTS and GTS2.
We are also thinking long term: the physics and multiplayer work currently underway on GTS1 may help us evaluate solutions for future projects, including GTS3. We will share definitive details when they are ready to be announced.
Three generations, one shared vision
At Pulsar Gamesoft, evolving a franchise is about more than making new games. It also means improving what we have built, learning from each project, and developing technology that opens up new possibilities.
Today, GTS1 is being modernized with more advanced physics and work toward renewed multiplayer; GTS2 remains a core part of our simulation experience; and GTS3 represents the next chapter of this journey.
We want every step forward to improve not just one game, but the future possibilities of the entire Grand Truck Simulator franchise.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us from the beginning and to all the players who continue to support our projects.
